Classic Cars Meet Classic Charm at Bud & Rita's Grand Opening!

This past weekend was a significant one for the local scene in Niles, IL, as we at CAV Auto had the pleasure of partnering with the newly opened Bud & Rita’s, a charming cannabis dispensary at 5960 W Touhy Ave. To celebrate their grand opening, we showcased two stellar examples of automotive history: a 1969 Chevy C-10 Fleetside pickup and a 1966 Cadillac Coup de Ville, graciously brought by our friend Matt Gieser.

The setting at Bud & Rita's was a perfect match for our classics, as they've brilliantly captured the 1950s spirit with their diner-style decor. This includes the innovative use of a Cadillac's rear end—complete with its iconic fins and bullet taillights—turned into a unique bench. These elements alongside our vehicles created a nostalgic yet fresh experience.

The event itself was a full-throttle success, featuring a live DJ who kept the energy high, a barbecue food truck serving up delicious fare, and a generous 30% discount on all items, living up to the day's playful slogan, "Wheelin' & Dealin'." The turnout was fantastic, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm and making the most of the beautiful, albeit hot, weekend weather.

Our partnership with Bud & Rita's for this event was a delightful venture, providing us an opportunity not only to showcase some of our beloved classic cars but also to engage with the community in a meaningful way. The 1969 Chevy and the 1966 Cadillac were not just on display; they symbolized the bridge between the nostalgic past and the vibrant present, encapsulating the essence of the occasion.

We at CAV Auto are thrilled about this collaboration and look forward to future opportunities to share our passion for classic cars and contribute to the rich cultural tapestry of our community. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported this event and to Bud & Rita's for a fantastic grand opening celebration!
